Place.
Martha's Vineyard is not just a beautiful place. It's an ecologically distinct one. Salt air, sandy soils, deer pressure, and the ever-present wind require a different approach to gardening than the mainland.
We select plants from our curated library of Island-tested species. We know what thrives in Edgartown's full sun, what survives the west-facing exposure in Aquinnah, and what deer will leave alone. That knowledge is built into every garden we touch.

Our Plant
Library
is Your Starting Point.
Before we design anything, we point our clients to the Plant Library — our curated reference of species that thrive specifically on Martha's Vineyard.
Filter by sun exposure, deer resistance, salt tolerance, or pollinator value. Find what works where you are, before you invest in it.
Dry Sun
Sandy soil, full exposure. Built for the toughest spots on the Island.
Moist Sun
Richer soils with reliable moisture and open skies.
Partial Shade
The mixed light of woodland edges and dappled clearings.
Deep Shade
Under the canopy. Specialists that thrive without direct sun.
"The garden they designed for us uses plants we'd never heard of, and they're thriving. Nothing's struggled, nothing's been replaced. They clearly know this island's conditions inside and out."
