Why It Matters

The Island Has
Its Own Rhythm.

Martha's Vineyard property ownership follows a distinct seasonal calendar. Spring brings the rush to open after a long winter. Fall means closing properly before the cold. And in between, nor'easters and storms can undo weeks of maintenance overnight.

Our cleanup services are built around that rhythm. We show up when you need us — scheduled in advance or on short notice after a storm — and we leave your property cleaner, healthier, and ready for what comes next.

Common Questions

Seasonal Cleanup FAQ

What is included in a spring cleanup on Martha's Vineyard?
Estate Care's spring cleanup includes leaf and debris removal, cutting back ornamental grasses and perennials, bed edge re-definition, mulch refresh, and a first mow of the season. For properties closed over winter, we also inspect for storm damage and remove any fallen branches or debris.
What is included in a fall cleanup?
Fall cleanup includes complete leaf removal, cutting back perennials, preparing lawn areas for overseeding if needed, protecting tender plantings, draining irrigation systems, and securing garden structures for winter. Estate Care schedules fall cleanups between mid-October and late November based on the season's foliage timing.
Do you offer one-time cleanups or only recurring programs?
Both. Estate Care offers one-time spring and fall cleanups as standalone services, as well as seasonal packages bundled with ongoing lawn care or property maintenance programs. One-time cleanup pricing is based on property size and current condition assessed at booking.
How far in advance should I book a seasonal cleanup?
Spring cleanup slots on Martha's Vineyard fill quickly, especially for the April–May window. Estate Care recommends booking spring cleanups in February or March and fall cleanups in August or September. Existing clients receive priority scheduling for each season.
Can Estate Care handle cleanups on large or overgrown properties?
Yes. Estate Care regularly manages large estate cleanups, including properties that have been unattended for one or more seasons. For heavily overgrown properties we conduct a site assessment and provide a phased work plan with clear pricing before beginning any work.
